Graphics are pictures. They make your presentation interesting.
A couple of things to keep in mind that relate to graphics.
First, light letters on a dark background are really difficult to read. It makes your project stand out in a bad way. Be careful about selecting your fonts. The font might look really cool, but it also may be difficult to read. These are important to keep in mind when working on your title page.
Next, we need to address memes. Yes, they are graphic. Yes, they are funny. But, you have to remember your audience and purpose. Memes are not appropriate for this project.
What is appropriate?
A photograph of your poet! Use a photo editor to add the name of your poet to the picture. Remember the font guidelines to make sure it's legible.
This Poe is a NO. Yes, I can read it, but I found it complete on the internet!
In order to write the name on the picture, use the text feature in:
picmonkey.com Save the image. Add text. You can even crop the image.
Befunky is another tool for editing images.
Photoshop isn't free after the trial, but you could put your poet who is writing about the desert in the middle of the desert.
What should the other picture be? Choose a picture that fits with the poem you are annotating; for example, a picture of a raven paired with the text of "The Raven" by Poe.
